Do you pay for air for your tires at your gas station?

when you buy gas air is part .
of the service, it should be free.

I usually try to go to Mobil when I need it. It's the only place around here where I know for sure that it's free. I'm morally opposed to paying for air.

I am sooo screwed
by Yondaime inso last night i was talking to my sister about how i admired president obama's speech to the u.n that happened earlier that day.. i then compared the extremism of isis to how much of a fanatic my jw bil is.. at the end of the statement , my mom walked in to the kitchen.
she was standing in the living room and she heard everything i said.. she called the elders that night to tell them what i said so they can counsel me.. i'm going to meet with them after the meeting on sunday!.
what do i do?!!!!!.

You could simply say you were venting about your BIL more than you were attacking the faith. They may counsel you about murmuring, but nothing more.

A few questions for believers
by keyser soze inwhen confronted with all of the inconsistencies and atrocities of the bible, many believers invariably claim that they don't base their faith in christ on what's written in the bible.
so what is the basis then, if not scripture?.
and please don't tell me "the lord has revealed himself to me".

If there are errors in Josephus writings' does it follow that everything in it is therefore made up?
It follows that its reliability should be questioned. It follows that if there are errors, it can't be divinely inspired. When it comes to the bible, how does one determine what is inspired and what isn't? Does one pick and choose based on their belief system? I find the fall back position of many Christians to be "Ignore the nasty stuff in the Old Testament, and only trust the nice stuff about Jesus". This seems like a convenient copout to me.
Atheists do use this argument a lot but do not seem to be willing to do the research for themselves to find the truth of the matter .
It seems a little presumptuous to assert that only Christians are willing to put in the necessary work to determine the bible's authenticity; as if atheism were something entered into without thought or effort.
It's a moot point anyway, at least as far as this thread is concerned. I wasn't attempting to spark a debate on whether or not the bible is inspired, though I have my own opinion on the matter. It was directed at people who proclaim a faith in Christ, while claiming that faith doesn't come from a book. From where does validation of their faith come, if not the bible?

Hope this helps.
It didn't. The question is how does God reveal himself, and how do you know it isn't simply confirmation bias on your part. Nothing you stated addressed that.
If you think we have a right to life, then MUCH of what God has done will appear wrong.
No, it appears wrong if you believe he created us in his image and instilled in us a moral code.

Your thread title might have been: Questions for Bible believers.
Actually, it was intended for those who don't believe in the bible, but still identify themselves as Christian. But your point is duly noted. I just don't see how Christianity can exist without it. If the bible isn't the inerrant word of God, than Jesus was just a regular guy with an entourage, if he existed at all.

I hear you. It's just the whole "The lord revealed himself to me, that's how I know" spiel that I'm trying to understand. I've gotten this on multiple occasions, and I really don't know what it means.

And please don't tell me "The lord has revealed himself to me". That's not really an answer. How has he revealed himself, exactly? How do you know, unequivocably, that this is what's happening, as opposed to it being merely confirmation bias on your part?
This isn't an attempt to mock. I ask with all sincerity. After leaving the JWs, I tried hard to hang on to my faith, but the lord revealed nothing to me. Was I not worthy enough? Or did he do so, and I just missed it? If it was the latter, why would he do so in a way I could not discern?
